Onboarding

The first time a individual is added to a regime, they will need to complete an Onboarding process in order to be added as an Senior Manager.

Individuals to be Onboarded are selected within the Mapping Tool. Alternately, an individual can be onboarded from the SMCR Onboarding Administrator page. Each individual has an Onboarding Status. Any progress regarding this status displays on the Mapping page.

An individual need only complete the Onboarding process once, as the process covers Onboarding across all entities. The SMCR Administrator reviews current and pending Onboarding records using the Onboarding Portal.

Onboarding Process

The process of Onboarding is an approval process that is completed by a designated Approver.

When an individual is initially designated for a SMF role, a check is undertaken to verify whether the individual has already completed the Onboarding Process. If they have not, they are flagged as requiring Onboarding with an Onboarding Scheduled status.

An automated process* can be run to update records with a Scheduled status so that they can be actioned. The records will then move from an Onboarding Scheduled to Onboarding Pending status.

While in this pending status, they are awaiting approval. The designated Approver for Onboarding individuals reviews the request to approve. Once approved, the Individual's record is updated to indicate that they have been onboarded with a Completed status. If they are rejected, the request is Cancelled.

Statuses that can be assigned to individuals regarding Onboarding include:

  • Scheduled - The individual record will be updated during the next automated update.
  • Pending - The individual is awaiting approval.
  • Completed - the Onboarding of the individual has been completed.
  • Cancelled - The Onboarding of the Individual has been cancelled.
  • (none) - This individual has not yet been Onboarded.

Onboarding using the Mapping Tool

  • Navigate to the appropriate entity record and open it.
  • Select the Mapping Tool tab.
  • Search for the appropriate Individual. The status for that individual should indicate they have not yet completed the process of Onboarding.
  • Drag the person to the designated SMF.
  • Once an individual is selected, a status of 'Onboarding Scheduled' will display against their name.

A scheduled process will update the records, progressing them to an 'Onboarding Pending' status, awaiting approval.

The Designated Approver will receive a notification that they have an individual that is awaiting Onboarding.

Selection of Yes will indicate the individual Onboarding status as Completed.

Selection of No will indicate the individual Onboarding status as Cancelled.
