Add a new company

You can set up a new company in your Diligent Equity Investor account through the Admin portal. Companies are then assigned to a Fund, giving you the ability to show an investment across multiple entities.

Note

Adding a company is a two-step process: First you must create the company then you must assign the company to a Fund.

Add a new company

  1. Select your name in the toolbar.

    A menu opens.

  2. Select Admin from the menu.

    Your view switches to admin mode.

  3. In the Admin toolbar, select the Companies > Add company.

    The Add company dialog opens.

  4. Enter the company name.

  5. Select the Company type from the drop down menu.

    Note

    To be able to generate a waterfall calculation for an LLC entity, select LLC -Limited Liability Company.

  6. Enter in relevant company details.

  7. Select your preferred valuation settings.

  8. Select Submit to save.

Assign the company to a fund

  1. After you add the company in the Admin portal select the Funds Tab.

  2. Select the Fund and select the Invested Capital tab.

    The new unassigned company will appear in a drop down list.

  3. Select Add Investment to save it to the fund.

    The company will now appear in the fund's details and porfolio.
