Accelerated vesting of unvested shares

This section explains how to create acceleration for unvested options in Diligent Equity

To accelerate the vesting of option shares, select Options on the left navigation bar, and choose an option plan. Select the optionee name in the main screen. In the individual Optionee's details wizard , select Accelerate. Once the acceleration details have been entered as described below, the additional shares will be counted in the vested share calculations.

In the below example, an Optionee's vesting is accelerated by 10,000 shares pursuant to a change in control provision.

1. Date: Enter the date the accelerated vesting is effective.

2. Accelerated options: Enter the number of option shares that are subject to the accelerated vesting, in this case 200 shares.

3. Comments: Enter any other information you may want to note regarding the accelerated vesting event.
