Authoring a CDP report
You can use the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) report template to respond to questions using Author. The following Questionnaire Sector options are available as part of Diligent ESG Author reporting template:

2024 Capital goods

2024 Electric utilities
If you want to activate more Questionnaire Sector, contact your account manager.
Note

You must have Admin permissions to configure CDP reports.

If you do not get the option to select Report Type, contact your account manager.
Adding Admin access to the CDP report

Go to Author and select the User Access icon
. -
In the User Permission Settings window, select User Group Management tab.

From the dropdown, select your email address and select Add User.

Select the User Group Permission tab and select the Administrators group from the dropdown.
Note
If you are using Author reporting for the first time, you must add your email address to the Administrators group and provide that group with Admin group permissions.

In the Section Name column, select the Edit icon beside the top row. The top row provides permissions for the entire report.

In the Change Permissions column, select the Admincheckbox.

Configuring CDP reports
- Select Author > Open and select the report type for the financial year such as FY2024.

Select the CDP report type and select the report for the financial year, such as CDP 2024.
Note
If you are using Author reporting for the first time, you must add your email address to the Administrators group and provide that group with Admin group permissions to configure CDP reports. For further information, go to Adding Admin access to the CDP report .

Select the Guidance Introduction section from the side panel.

In the Environmental Issue and Questionnaire Sector sections, select the checkboxes beside the issues and sectors that relates to your company.
The list of sections displayed under Guidance introduction varies based on the selections you make.
Note
In the CDP 2024 template, there are certain limitations in using the CDP Author reporting template. These are listed below:

You may see more fields apart from the selection you have made for CDP reports. For further information, go to Additional fields table.

In some of the affected sections, the dropdown menu doesn’t have the required fields to answer a questionnaire. For further information, go to Missing fields table.

The auto calculation functionality required to display a particular result is not working for some of the affected sections. For further information, go to Auto-calculation not available table.
