Correcting uploaded files in error

If any upload is in error, no data from that upload is committed to the system. Data is only finalized and committed to the database after 100% Complete is reached in the progress bar.

  1. To access the previous uploads, in Diligent ESG toolbar, select Data Management and select Multi-Site Upload.
  2. Select the Upload History tab.
  3. To view why an upload has failed, in the Progress column, select In error. The Stage and Message columns display information about the upload and why it failed.

From the error message, you can identify the problem, amend the spreadsheet to address the issue, and then re-start the upload process. Common issues include data in a column is not in the expected format such as text when a number is expected, incorrect date format, incorrect mapping ID applied, invalid activity input applied, incorrect sheet being uploaded against the source category, or missing data.

Correcting invalid uploaded data

After you match the appropriate column headers and select Finish, there can be error messages. The error message highlights an error in your selection in the column dropdowns or it can highlight an issue with some or all of the data in the spreadsheet.

If the upload fails and is in error, you can roll back the upload and re-upload an updated or new spreadsheet. For further information about rolling back an upload, go to Removing uploaded spreadsheets in error.
