Discarding an issue

An issue is discarded when it is no longer relevant or doesn't require a resolution. A Type manager can discard an issue only if it isn't assigned to an Issue manager. After an issue is assigned, only an Issue manager can discard it.

Only an Open or In Progress issue can be discarded. When an issue is Discarded, all of its Open or In Progress actions automatically go into Discarded status. Actions in Closed status remain in Closed status.

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.diligentoneplatform.com), select the Issue Manager app to open it.

If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Issue Manager app.

  2. From the issue list, select an issue in open or in-progress status to discard.

  3. Select the Manage Issue tab.

  4. Select the Discard button on the top right.

  5. In the Discard issue dialog, enter one or more email addresses to which to send a notification that the issue has been discarded.

  6. (Optional) Enter a message to the recipients, and then select Discard issue.
The issue and any of the issue's actions in open or in-progress status are changed to discarded status.
