Updating your profile

Update your profile to update the information associated with your user account. You can specify your preferred languages settings, date format, and time zone, as well as other personal information.

Permissions

Any user added to Launchpad can update their personal user profile.

Steps to update your profile

  1. Open Launchpad.
  2. From the global navigation bar, select   > My Profile.
  3. Click Update Profile. The Update My Profile page is displayed.
  4. Update any of the following fields, then click Save changes.
  5. Field Description
    First Name

    Your first name. The character limit is 40.

    Last Name

    Your last name. The character limit is 40.

    Email

    Your email address. The character limit is 60. For help changing this, see Updating your email address.

    Note

    HighBond does not support email addresses with accents or non-Latin characters.

    Organization

    optional

    The name of your company. The character limit is 255.

    Title

    optional

    Your professional title. The character limit is 255.

    Initials

    optional

    The initials of your first and last names The character limit is 255.

    Phone Number

    optional

    Your phone number. You can type your phone number with or without hyphens.

    Phone Extension

    optional

    Your phone number extension.
    Date Format The date format that timestamped fields in HighBond display.
    Timezone

    A region that has a uniform standard time for legal, commercial, and social purposes.

    Time zones follow the boundaries of countries and their subdivisions. The time zone specified applies to timestamped fields in HighBond.

    In the Results app, datetime fields display times in your chosen time zone. If you are not logged in, datetime fields display times in your company's time zone. For more information, see Working with time zones.

    Locale

    Your preferred language settings when using HighBond.

    Diligent HighBond supports the following languages:

    • English
    • Deutsch
    • Español
    • Français
    • 日本語 (日本)
    • Português (Brasil)
    • 简体中文

    When new users are created and invited to a HighBond instance, the language locale will default to the organization locale. Invitation emails are received in the language of the user locale. Existing users' locales will not change when the organization's locale changes.

    To use the Reports app in a specific, supported language, you must set the language in your browser settings. Reports does not respect your Locale for language settings.

    Preferred Community Org

    Your preferred Community instance to log in to Community.

    • If you belong to multiple instances that are synced with the Community database, you can specify a preferred Community instance to log in to Community. By default, the first instance you joined is your Preferred Community Org. Only Launchpad instancees that are synced with the Community database are listed.
    • If you belong to a single organization that is synced with the Community database, your instance is your Preferred Community Org.

    Email Preferences

    optional

    Manage email notifications associated with product news, events, webinars, and resources.

Updating your email address

Email addresses change, occasionally. This is typically due to a change in someone's name (for example, after a change in marital status), or a company merger or rebrand. Do not change the email address on an account for the purposes of transferring that account to another person.

Note

Email addresses cannot be changed when SSO is enabled. However, if email addresses require changes, the System Admin needs to disable SSO in HighBond, make the required changes to the email addresses, and re-enable SSO. Otherwise, changed emails are identified as new accounts, and users will not be able to access information from their previous credential.

  • If you are a System Admin, you can update your own email using the steps above, or someone else's using the steps on this page: Updating user information.
  • If you are not a System Admin, ask your organization's System Admin to do this for you. If you are not sure who your System Admin is, contact support.

You will not be able to access HighBond with your old email address.

Note

HighBond does not support email addresses with accents or non-Latin characters.
