Navigating the Offline Projects app

Offline Projects is a component in ACL for Windows  that allows you to continue to work with the Projects app while disconnected from Diligent One and access entire sections from projects offline.

You can use this topic to learn about the key interface areas that make up Offline Projects.

Home page

The home page displays a list of sections currently or recently checked out under corresponding projects. You can use the home page to find a project to work with offline and check in and out sections from projects.

Note

When you first open Offline Projects, the only option available is Open Project. You need to check out sections from projects in order to view a list of sections currently or recently checked out.

Overview

Components

Number Component Description
1 Open Project Access a project to work with offline.
2 Checked Out

The section name, project name, individual assigned to the section, and date when the section was checked out displays.

3 Open section Drill into a section to work with offline.
4 Timestamp Displays the time when the section was checked out.
5 Check In Sync a section back to the Projects app to share information with other teammates.
6 Discard section

Discard an offline section in Offline Projects.

Once the section is discarded, you cannot restore the changes made to the section in Offline Projects. The online section in the Projects app will not be discarded.

7 Recently Checked In

Access a list of sections that have recently been checked in.

You can use this area to easily check out a section without having to search for it. The section name, project name, individual assigned to the section, and date when the section was checked out displays.

8 Check Out

Download a section to your local machine to work with offline.

Checking out a section locks the section into read-only mode in the Projects app and prevents other users from editing information.

Control List page

Once you have opened a section, the Control List page displays. The Control List page displays all of the controls within the section, and allows you drill into specific controls to view or modify, as necessary.
