Risk Manager integration

The Risk Manager integration allows you to seamlessly view and manage risk assessments directly within the Task Manager application. With this integration, you can enhance Risk Assessment cards to reflect the complete structure defined in Risk Manager by adding custom attributes.

Customize and manage your Risk Assessment cards to fit your specific needs. Define and add custom attributes directly through Risk Manager > Configurations. For detailed guidance, refer to Risk Manager Attributes.

Note

To personalize custom attributes, contact your Customer Success Manager. Customizations are configured by an Implementation Engineer during the initial setup.

The following sections explain how custom attributes work for Risk Assessment cards:

Risk scores and custom attributes

Risk Assessment cards display additional fields such as Owner, Workflow State, Created or Updated timestamps, and Users. They reflect the full set of fields available in Risk Manager.

Additionally, the Score section, which includes Likelihood, Impact, and Inherent Score, supports a range of custom attributes such as Boolean, Paragraph, Date, Number, Text, Select, User Lookup, and Attachments.

Note

  • Custom attributes are not visible by default.

  • Only attributes from sections other than Overview and Relationships are available for editing.

Some of the custom attributes are as follows:

Custom attribute Description
Boolean

Yes or No options

For example, a field that requires a Yes or No input: Is mitigation required?

Paragraph Long text fields for detailed notes
Date and Time Deadlines or review dates
Number Numeric values such as cost or count
Text Short text entries
Select Dropdown menu with predefined options
User Lookup To assign specific users or teams
Attachment Upload files relevant to the assessment

Note

The types and number of custom attributes vary based on your organization's configuration. These fields may differ between organizations.

Assessment status and completion logic

The completion logic of risk assessments is determined solely by status changes, rather than by the completion of individual fields.

By default, risk assessments include the following statuses: Draft, Assessment, and Monitoring.

These statuses determine the progress of each task:

  • A task is considered Ongoing when it is in the initial status.

  • A task is considered Completed once it transitions to any other status.

  • Important

Statuses can be fully customized in the Risk Manager configuration.

Files tab

When you create a custom field of type Attachment, an additional Files tab becomes available. This tab organizes all uploaded files by their corresponding custom field names, making it easier to locate and manage them. You can upload files by dragging and dropping them into the interface or by browsing your local system. Files can also be downloaded or deleted as needed.

Associated controls

The Associated Controls tab shows details about controls linked to a risk.

You can add the following fields to the tab:

  • Control Effectiveness

  • Design Effectiveness

These fields provide better visibility into the strength and design quality of each control.
