Export BoardEffect events to an external calendar

You can export BoardEffect events to an external calendar such as Outlook or Google. When you export an event, you can access the event details on your calendar, without the need to sign in to BoardEffect.

Note

This feature must be first enabled by system administrators in Site Settings | Event Settings on the web-based platform.

Export multiple events

In BoardEffect, you can export multiple or all events to an external calendar.

  1. Go to the My Upcoming Events section on the BoardEffect home page.

  2. Select Export, then select Export Events.
  3. On the Export Events dialog, choose Export All Events to export all events. You can also Include shared events in the export.

  4. Use the Date and Time fields to enter a date range for the event export.

  5. To initiate the export, select Save. The event details are downloaded as a file in your browser.

  6. Go to the external calendar where you wish to export the BoardEffect events.

    For example, open the Outlook Calendar. A confirmation dialog displays from Outlook asking you to confirm that you wish to import the items into your calendar. Confirm your selection. If you select Import, the Untitled calendar shows on your Outlook calendar. You can manage the calendar in Outlook, such as rename, copy, and move calendar up or down.

Export a single event

In BoardEffect, you can export a single event to an external calendar.

  1. Go to the My Upcoming Events section on the BoardEffect home page. Alternatively, select the relevant workroom, and then select the Events tab .

  2. Select the title of the event you wish to export. The event card opens in the relevant workroom.

  3. Select one of the following calendar types to export the event details:

    • Outlook/ICS

    • Google

  4. The event details are downloaded as a file in your browser.

    Depending on your browser, the file appears at the bottom of your browser window or in the Downloads folder. You can select the file to open it right away or view it later in your default download location.

    To add the event to your personal calendar, select Save and Close in Outlook. The event is now added to your Outlook calendar.

    Note

    The Google event details open on a new tab in your browser. Select the tab and then select Save to add the event to your Google Calendar.
