Ireland Beneficial Ownership: Edit or Remove Beneficial Owner

Edit Beneficial Owner Record

In Diligent Entities, you can edit the Beneficial Owner record. You can edit, for example, the Nature of Interest for a beneficial owner such as change the date when the interest was received or enter a termination date when an interest has ceased or will cease.

To edit a beneficial owner's Nature of Interest:

1. Open the required company record.

2. Go to Ownership > Beneficial Owners.

3. Select the Open Folder against the relevant person's record. The Beneficial Owner preview panel opens.

4. Select Edit.

5. Scroll down to the Nature of Interest section, then select either the Open Folder against the relevant interest or the summary line.

6. Enter the necessary changes.

7. Select Finish.

   Note

   Follow the same steps in case the individual no longer qualifyes as a beneficial owner due to a change in the nature of interest. Open each Nature of Interest, enter the date when the interest has ceased in the Date To field, then select Finish. The interest will cease and is marked as historical.

8. If the interest was added by mistake, select Remove (X) to delete it from the record.

9. When finished, select Save. The record is now updated.

Delete a Beneficial Owner

To delete a beneficial owner:

1. Select Menu against the name of the person whose record you want to delete.

2. Select Delete item from the list of options.
