The Banner of a Partnership record will display a number of icons that can be used to access, further populate and maintain the record.

Note

For Group Structures including Partnership information, the Economic Interest percentage figure (%) displays against Corporate Partnerships.

  • Select the Groups icon to view the corporate relationships of existing partners in a group structure, or tree walker format.

In order to generate a Group Structure displaying Partners of Limited and Corporate Partnerships, certain options must be selected.

For example, to recreate the following Group Structure, which includes an LP and CP (US LLC).

  • Open the required Partnership Entity's record.
  • Select the Group icon located in the Global Banner.

The Group screen displays.

  • Select the More tab (located next to the Basic Search tab) to display additional search options:

The Search By Details section displays.

  • In the Filter Options section, determine which filtered aspects should display.
  • Scroll down to the Show 0% Ownership in 'Legal Group Structure' section and select the Show 0% Ownership checkbox. As most partnerships have no ownership links to the General or Managing Partner, this option ensures that such entities are included in the structure.
  • Scroll down to the Alternate Control section and select the Include Alternate Control Relationships checkbox. This option is required as corporate relationships created for LPs and CPs use a form of Alternate Control. Any corporate relationships created in Blueprint OneWorld using Alternate Control can be displayed on a Group Structure, if required.

The section expands to reveal Alternate Control relationship type filter options.

Note

By default, none of the options are selected. This means that all options will automatically be included in the search. To include only specific Corporate Relationship types, select the required checkbox(s).

  • Scroll down to the All Other Parents/Owners The options in this section ensure that any parties external to the group (for example, Joint Ventures) are also included in the structure.

Note

This option is only available when generating a Down Structure.

For this example, the following options must be selected:

  • Get all other parents/owners: Selected
  • Direct Parent: Never include
  • Include as Additional Data: Selected
  • Scroll back up and select the By Entity

The By Entity screen displays.

  • Select the related Limited Partnership and Corporate Partnership checkboxes.
  • Select the Additional Data.

The Additional Data screen displays.

  • Deselect the Add sub-headings for each included section checkbox.
  • Select Search (located to the right of the screen).

The search runs and displays the Partnership entity types as part of the Legal Group Structure.

Note

The Immediate and Ultimate percentage between Partnership entities is determined by the following: LPs - General Partners 100%, Limited Partners 0%; CPs - All percentages determined by Economic Interest %.
