Join a virtual BoardEffect meeting (iPhone)

Virtual or online meeting details display right on an event card, making it easy to locate meeting information and join meetings right from BoardEffect home page.

  1. On the event card on the BoardEffect home page, select Join Meeting or Join Zoom.

    Note

    The Join Meeting option is only visible after your Administrator has entered a meeting link when setting up the meeting. Similarly, Join Zoom is only visible after your Administrator has integrated the BoardEffect meeting information with Zoom.

    Note

    When you open the Join Zoom link in BoardEffect for the first time, you are prompted to accept the legal terms for using Zoom within BoardEffect. Select Accept. If you Decline this prompt, Zoom meetings will launch in the external Zoom app, instead of within the BoardEffect app.

  2. The Zoom app launches in BoardEffect.

    Note

    Other virtual meeting applications open in the relevant video meeting app. You might be prompted to download the app before you can join the virtual meeting.

  3. When you join a virtual meeting, the video and audio are turned off by default. To connect to the audio, select Join Audio. A confirmation window displays.

  4. Select Call using Internet Audio.

  5. To turn on the video, select Start Video.

  6. The meeting starts in a small window. You can move the window by holding it, and then dragging it to a new location on your screen.

  7. While the meeting is in progress, you annotate the materials presented on the screen. To add an annotation, select the pen icon, and then annotate the content by selecting the relevant part with your finger.

    Note

    Your annotations are shared in real time during the meeting, so all attendees can see your annotations.

  8. If you would like to minimize the Zoom meeting window within BoardEffect to refer to your meeting materials, first, select the More icon.

  9. Select Minimize Meeting.

    Zoom's functionality in BoardEffect is identical to that in Zoom's own app. For full details, refer to Zoom's Help Center.

  10. While the meeting is in progress, you can navigate to other areas on the BoardEffect app. As you're navigating to other parts within the BoardEffect app, the meeting continues in a small window.
