Rollover a Data Library

A Data Library Rollover can advance (or carry over) an entire Data Library by a determined time period to a specified date.

To rollover a Data Library:

  • Navigate to: System Tools > Data Library > Data Library Types.
  • Locate the required Type from those listed. For this example, we'll select the Contract Type.
  • Select the Options icon adjacent to the listing.

The Options dropdown menu displays.

  • Select the Rollover data library items option from the menu.

The Data Library Rollover wizard opens.

Note

The options selected when configuring the rollover will display in the wizard.

  • Verify that the settings displayed are correct.

If the settings displayed are not correct:

  • Cancel the wizard and return to the Rollover configuration wizard to adjust the options.

If the settings displayed are correct:

  • Select Next.

Records that are eligible to be rolled over display with a total eligible record count.

  • Select Next.

The Data Library Rollover (HTML) screen displays.

  • Select a relevant option to save the a report of the rollover.
  • Select Finish.

The wizard closes

The selected records are rolled over.

A report detailing which records were updated displays.

The updated records can be viewed in the selected Data Library (for example, Employee Contract).

Original records will be updated indicating that they have been rolled over.

Newer records will also display, with no rollover detail against them (indicating that they are current).
