Create and process stock splits
Use Diligent Equity to create and process stock splits.
Important
Before processing a stock split, you must save the cap table as a record.

Go to the Utilities section in the navigation sidebar and select Actions.

Select the General tab in the Actions view and then select Split.
The Stock Split wizard opens

Enter the stock split ratio.
Example: A 2 for 1 split will be entered as Replace each 1 shares with 2 shares. A 1 for 2 reverse split will be entered as Replace each 2 shares with 1 share.

Enter the Split date.

Select the method for dealing with fractional shares, either Round to nearest, Round up or Round down.

Select Review to preview the post-split numbers before processing the split.

After reviewing, select Split to process the stock split.
If you do not want to process the stock split at this time, select X to close the window.
The post-split table displays the complete split calculations and the new post-split share certificate numbers.
To download a stock split report to Excel, select Report.
