Set up My Alerts

Use My Alerts to receive email notifications about selected events.

Before you start

Make sure an AutoReminder task has been set up in the application. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

  1. Go to My Profile my profile > My Preferences.

  2. In the User Preferences wizard, select Change My Alerts.

  3. In the My Alerts wizard that opens, select Add.

  4. On the Alert on What page of the wizard, specify the details for the alert and select Next.

    In the Alert on Data section, select the one of the following types of data:

    • Audit Trail to receive alerts about any system events that were actioned or changed in Diligent Entities in the specified time period.
    • Pending Events to receive alerts generated by the reminder date of pending events.
    • Reminders to receive alerts generated for data libraries, accounts, annual general meetings or annual returns.

    In the Alerts Sent To section, select the user the alerts be sent to. Make sure the selected user has a valid email address recorded in their account details.

    In the Alert on Events section, select the event groups and the events you want to receive alerts for.

    If you want to be alerted of any changes made by a specific user, select the user in the Alert on Changes By section.

    If you do not want to be alerted of any changes that you make, select the Do not alert me of my changes option in the My Changes section.

  5. On the Alert Filters page, set up filters on the data you receive alerts for and select Next.

    For example, you can set up to receive alerts for entities in the selected countries only.

  6. On the Advanced page, enter the details of specific entities that you want to receive alerts for and select Next.

    You have the following options:

    • In Entity QuickRef, you can enter the quick reference for any entity that you want to receive alerts about.
    • In Item QuickRef, enter the quick reference for any data library type you want to receive alerts about.
    • In Item ID, you can enter the item ID of a specific data library record that you want to receive alerts about. To obtain the item ID, go to Data Library and hover over the Summary column for the record. A URL displays at the bottom of the page. In the URL, the numbers that come after noteID.value represent the item ID.
  7. On the My Alerts page, select Add to create more alerts or Finish to complete the wizard.

    This page also lists the alerts you have set up so far.
