Country Names and Valid Characters in Electronic Filing for Australia

Certain country names available in Diligent Entities are not accepted by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).

At certain stages of the application process, it is necessary to capture the country details for an entity, for example, countries used in addresses for both companies and individuals, or for an individual's place of birth. Autocomplete offers a list of country names based on what the user enters into the field to assist with country selection. However, there may be instances where the spelling of the country name in the autocomplete does not match the spelling required by ASIC.
