User Defined Menus: Add Links to the ReportIt Report Portal and ReportIt Model Editor

Administrators can enable access to the ReportIt Report Portal and ReportIt Model Editor from within Diligent Entities.

Similar to the creation of a Diligent Entities ReportIt Portal, quick access to the ReportIt Report Portal and the ReportIt Model Editor can be achieved through the use of User Defined Menus.

Note

System Tools can only be accessed and configured by users with Administrator rights.

ReportIt Report Portal

To add a link to the ReportIt Report Portal from within Diligent Entities Portal:

  • Navigate to System Tools > User Defined Menus > Master.

The User Defined Menus (Master) screen displays.

  • Ensure that Portals is selected in the Search In dropdown menu.
  • Select the Diligent Entities Portal from the For dropdown menu.
  • Select New.

The User Defined Menu wizard displays.

  • Select the ReportIt Report Portal option from the Navigation Menu.
  • Select Next.

The ReportIt Portal User Defined Menu screen displays.

  • Enter a name for the Link into the Name field (for example, ReportIt Report Portal).
  • Select Next.

The Options screen displays.

  • Enter any help text to be associated with the Link into the Menu Option Help field. The text will display when the Link is hovered over.
  • Select an image collection from the Menu Option Image dropdown menu to locate an appropriate image for the Portal icon.
  • Select Next.

The Security screen displays.

  • Use the available options to determine visibility/access permissions.
  • Select Finish.

The wizard closes and the configuration detail is listed on the User Defined Menu summary screen.

Review the configuration by navigating to the specified location of the Portal: Reports > ReportIt.

The configured Portal displays.

ReportIt Model Editor

The same steps used to create the ReportIt Report Portal link can be used to create a link for the ReportIt Model Editor.

  • Navigate to the User Defined Menu wizard Menu Link To screen.
  • Select the ReportIt Model Editor option from the Templates Menu.
  • Select Next to navigate through the Details, Options, and Security tabs, to name the link, select an icon image and configure visibility for the Portal.

The wizard closes and the configuration detail is listed on the User Defined Menu summary screen.

The configured portal also displays in the specified location.
