Workflow Diagrams

A Pending Event Workflow can be represented by a visualisation to assist with verifying the configured approval flow.

A visualised workflow is both informative and interactive, as approval flows can be viewed at a glance and Stages can be updated directly via the diagram.

Access a Pending Event Workflow visualisation

The visualisation for an existing Pending Event Workflow can be accessed in two ways:

1. Options Menu

• Navigate to the Workflows screen.
• Select the Options Menu icon against the required workflow and select the Diagram option.

The associated Approval Stages screen displays.

Instead of displaying the Approval stages in a text format, the stages are visualised as an interactive diagram.

2. Approval Stages screen

The diagram can also be accessed via the Approval Stages screen.

• Navigate to the Workflows screen.
• Select the Open (Folder) icon for the required workflow.

The associated Approval Stages screen displays.

• Select Diagram located on the right-hand side of the screen.

The stages are visualised as an interactive diagram.

Preview or Edit an Approval Stage

Preview

Selecting one of the diagrams Approval Stage boxes will open the Preview pane for the related Stage.

Edit

Selecting Edit in the Preview pane will open the Workflow Approver wizard.

In the wizard, configured details for the selected Approval stage can be amended as required.

To close the Preview pane:

• Select a blank space in the canvas.

Add an Approval Stage

Approval Stages can be added to the workflow and display immediately on screen in the diagram.

To add a new Approval Stage to the workflow and view it in the diagram:

• Select New.

The Workflow Approver wizard displays.

• Add the information required on the Details, Actions, and Notifications screens.
• Select Finish.

The wizard closes.

The configured Approval Stage is added to the bottom of the diagram and is listed with the other Approval Stages in the text view.
