Starting an off-cycle review

A document may need changes after the document is published but before it is scheduled for review. If you have the correct security rights, you can initiate an off-cycle review so the changes can be added before the regular review.

For example, a compliance policy may be reviewed yearly but you have critical updates from the legal department that must be added before the upcoming yearly review.

To initiate an off-cycle review, follow these steps.

  1. Access the document. See Finding and managing documents.

  2. On the General Info tab, select the Initiate Off-Cycle Review button which is available after the document's review cycle is complete (Review Cycle tab, CLOSURE).

  3. Confirm you want to initiate an off-cycle review.

  4. Select one of the following to control the review date:

    • Retain Current to keep the current review date shown.

    • Use New One to use today's date as the new review date.

  5. Select Confirm. The system picks up any changes in the assigned review flow. The new review cycle is displayed in the Review Cycle tab.
