Create a new Data Library record

A new Data Library record can be created from within the Data Library, or from within an entity record.

To create a new Data Library record in the Data Library:

  • Select the Data Library icon in the Global Banner.

The Data Library (Default) screen displays.

  • Select a Category by selecting one of the tabs to view the associated Data Library Types.
  • Select the Type dropdown menu and select the required Type. For this example, the Contract Type will be selected.
  • Select New.

The New: Contract screen displays.

If the Category is unknown, select New. The Category and Type can both be selected from the New: Item screen.

Pending

Determine whether creation of the Data Library record will be a Pending Event, or will be actioned immediately upon saving, by selecting one of the available Action options (Pending, Update Immediately).

Contract For

When creating a Data Library record, it will need to be attached to an entity. To do so:

  • Select the Wand icon.

The Select Entity wizard opens.

  • Use the fields provided to locate and select, or to create the required entity, then select Finish to close the wizard.

The name and Quick Reference of the selected entity record are listed as the entity that the Data Library is being created for.

Summary

If not already selected, select the Type dropdown menu to select the Data Library Type being created. The screen will update to display related fields for the selected Type.

Remaining sections

  • Complete any information required in the remaining sections (i.e. Other Connected Entities, Contract, Signed On, Attachments).
  • Select Save.

The new record displays on screen.

  • Select Close to return to the search screen.
