Director ID for Companies in Australia
All directors of a company in Australia will need a director identification number (director ID).
For more information about what the director ID is and how you can obtain one, visit the Australia Business Registry Services' website.
In Diligent Entities, a user-defined field is available to store the director ID. The director identification number field is not visible by default. Administrators can enable it under System Tools > User-Defined Fields > Individuals Only.
Once made visible, it is available in the Personal Details section on the Individual Details page. For more information about user-defined fields and how to make them visible, refer to User-Defined Fields (UDFs).
How to find individuals without Director ID
You can use Quick Reports to generate a list of individuals who are currently appointed as directors to Australian companies and who do not have a director identification number recorded in Diligent Entities.
To do that, go to Quick Reports
, select Appointments and apply the following filters:
-
Country of Residency (Companies) is equal to Australia
-
IsCurrent (appointee) is True
-
Appointed as contains Director
-
Director Identification Number is Empty
Note
If there are other appointment types marked as Is Director in List Manager, make sure to run the report for those appointment types as well. You can do that by changing the Appointed as filter to the relevant appointment type description.
To share this report with others, select Actions > Save as new Shared Table. On the dialogue that comes up, enter a name for the report and select the dashboards you want to add the table to.
