Backup and restore
In Diligent Equity, you can download and restore a backup of a cap table.
For example, you might want to download a backup cap table before performing a stock split. For more information go to Create and process stock splits.
To backup the cap table, complete the following steps.

Select Utilities at the left side of the screen.

Select Backup. This will download an .XML file. Save this file in a safe place.
To restore the cap table from one of your backup files, proceed as follows.

Select Utilities at the left side of the screen.

Select Restore on the main screen. Find and double-click the backup file in the prompted window. This file will be in .XML format. Diligent Equity will then upload the backup file, and it will become the current version of the cap table.
