Branches and Registrations in Jurisdiction entities

The Entities app is introducing support for new Branch and Registration in Jurisdiction entity types.

Previously, Company Branch or Registration in Jurisdiction details may have been captured and stored as Data Libraries in the application, to ensure that the information is recorded.

The new Branch and Registration in Jurisdiction (RiJ) entity types allow for these records, and other entities that are linked via existing Branch or Registration in Jurisdiction Data Libraries, to be converted into either a Branch entity type, or a Registration in Jurisdiction entity type.

Enable or disable the entity types

Note

System Tools can only be accessed and configured by users with Administrator rights.

For existing users, the new entity types are not enabled.

To locate the new Branch/Registration in Jurisdiction feature settings:

  • Navigate to: System Tools > System Options > Features.

To enable either the Branches or Registration in Jurisdiction features:

  • Select the checkbox against the entity type's title.
  • Select Finish.

The System Options wizard closes.

The entity type is enabled for all users in the system.

For new users, the new entity types are enabled by default.

If it is preferred that one or both entity types remain disabled throughout the system:

  • Navigate to the Feature Settings screen.
  • Deselect the relevant checkbox then select Finish.

The Branch/Registration in Jurisdiction entity type is disabled for all users in the system.

Search for a Branch or Registration in Jurisdiction entity

If the new entity types are enabled, it is possible to search for a Branch or Registration in Jurisdiction entity. To do so:

  • Navigate to the All Searches screen and select the Registrations tab.

The Registrations Search screen displays.

Note

A search for the new entity types can also be conducted from the All Entities and World Search screens.

Use the available parameters to filter and search for the specified Branch or Registration in Jurisdiction entity. Alternatively, scroll through the entities listed beneath.

The new Branch or RiJ entity records can also be viewed from within the Parent company record.

  • Navigate to: Parent Company record > Company Details > Branches or Registration in Jurisdiction.
