View activity in files and folders

You can track actions taken on files or folders in your own data room. As a Data Room Manager for a team room, you can view and track activities related to files, folders, members, or the team room itself. This guarantees that all changes and updates to items are transparent.

There are three ways you can do this:

  1. View the History of a folder or file

  2. View the history of Sent links

  3. Create an activity report

History of an item

The History panel of an item provides a chronological view of all actions taken on an item.

  • When and where an item was created.

  • When an item was created, moved, downloaded, shared, or deleted.

  • Who performed an individual activity.

  • All items associated with links.

  1. In your data room select the item's more options icon or right-click when hovering over the item.

  2. Select History from the menu.

    A panel opens displaying activities associated with that item.

    Note

    Only activities carried out during the past 90 days are displayed.

History of Sent links

The History panel of a Sent link provides information on when and who with an item was shared.

  1. In your data room select the item's more options icon .

  2. Select History from the menu to open the chronological panel and view the activity.

  3. Select the recipient's email.

  4. The card expands and displays the sent link information: The role of the recipient, any security settings applied, the expiration date, and any message sent.

An activity report

An activity report displays all information relating to files and folders in your personal Data room. As Data Room Manager you can extract a report on activity in your team room.
