Create a new permission group

Create a new permission group to assign specific permissions to members of a Team room.

Only a Data Room Manager or someone assigned Manage Members permissions can undertake this task.

Tip

To create a group without designated permissions or users, or both, select Next at each stage and select Confirm at the final stage. Both permissions and users can be added later.

  1. In the Team Data Room select Members and groups from the navigation bar.

  2. Go to the Groups tab.

  3. Select the Create Group icon on the toolbar to open.

  4. Insert the chosen group name in the Enter a name for this group field and select Next.

  5. Select the permissions you want to assign to the group. For more information, go to Permissions in Team Data rooms.

    Note

    Some permissions can only be granted in association with other permissions, and these will automatically be selected by the system.

  6. Select Next.

  7. Select the members you want to add from the list provided and select Next.

    Note

    Members who are assigned to a system permission group like Data Room Managers will not be presented for selection.

  8. Verify your choices and select Confirm.

    Your group has now been created and will appear in the Groups tab.
