Adding an engagement and case
To add an 3P Engagement A 3P Profile may have one or more 3P Engagements so different business units in your organization can apply differnt risk and compliance program configurations for the 3P Profile. Cases are assigned to 3P Engagements. to a 3P Profile, use the steps that follow.
- Locate the 3P Profile using the Quick Search on the upper left of the window.
- Select the 3P Profile.
- Select the Record Detail tab.
- Select Add Engagement.
- In the Add / Select Engagement dialog, the following is specific to the engagement:
- Parent 3P Profile This cannot be changed. It is the 3P Profile that the 3P Engagement will be associated with.
- Type The type of third party, for example, Channel Partner, Vendor, Supplier, or DO NOT ENGAGE. of Third Party
- Category
- Official Company Name Enter a new name or select from the records identified as potential matches.
- Select the Continue | Enter Details button.
- Enter the details specific to the engagement.
- Select the Continue | Review button.
- If the information you entered is correct, select Create Engagement. The following message may display:
- Company name is already in use: Select Continue Anyway to create the engagement. This enables you to avoid creating duplicate records.
- When you see this message:
Third Party Record Created: Initial screenings are in process and may take several minutes to complete.
select the View Third Party button. This takes you to the engagement Record Detail tab. - From the engagement, you can perform the following:
- Status Third-party Status used for searching, for example, Active or Inactive. Approval Status is a subset of the Status. See Approval Status. Case Status used for searching, for example, Only Open Cases or Only Closed Cases. to set the approval status The status of the third party approval, for example, Pending, Approved, Denied for Compliance Reasons, and so on. Approval Status is a subset of Status. See Status. of an engagement such as Pending, Approved, Denied, and so on and enter an explanation. Your organization may automate the renewal cycle based on the approval date, DDQ Due Diligence Questionnaire which can be sent to third parties for response. Questions can be added to a risk model to use in determining the overall risk rating for a third party. submission date, or other date. Or, your organization may set manual processes.
- View to see the 3P Profile.
- Merge to merge two existing engagements. Identify the duplicate and choose which to retain and which to eliminate.
When a third-party (with or without engagements) is retained and merged with another third-party (with or without engagements), any engagements are merged. An engagement can be retained and merged with a third-party with engagements.
An engagement cannot be retained and merged with a third party with no engagements. In other words, a third-party profile with one or more engagements cannot be eliminated to be merged into an engagement.

If a business sponsor submits an internal intake form A form is a questionnaire to gather information. via Open URL (for example, http://yourcompanyname.securimate.com), a case is created. To link the case to a third-party profile, go to Case Management, Case List, and select the broken link.
