Installing and opening the app
Diligent Messengercan be installed on your device and accessed anytime you want, securing real-time chats between other directors and executives in your organization or board.
Prerequisites

Diligent Messenger must be enabled for your organization.

You must have a Boards account and sign in credentials.
Install Diligent Messenger

Select the App Store icon on your home screen.

Enter Diligent messenger in the Search field.
A list of results will automatically appear.

Select Diligent Messenger from the list.

Select the GET button for the Diligent Messenger app.
You may be prompted to select Install to proceed.
Note

The App Store may prompt you for your Apple ID and password, or your Touch ID/Face ID, to complete the download. If you do not have an Apple ID, select Create New Apple ID and follow the prompts.

If you have an existing Apple ID, but do not remember the password, visit the Apple self-service password reset website: https://iforgot.apple.com

When your Apple ID is successfully created, Diligent Messenger downloads and the icon appears on your home screen.
Note
If you create a new Apple ID and the app does not automatically download, repeat steps 2–4, and sign in with your new Apple ID.
Open Diligent Messenger and sign in
The first time you launch the App, you will need to enter your Boards site name. If you use multiple board sites and need to switch between them in Diligent Messenger, you must sign out and enter a new board site. For more information, go to Messenger iOS app settings.

Select the Enter Site Name field and enter your organization's site name.

Select Continue.

Enter your credentials for Boards and select Sign In.
You may be prompted to enable Touch ID or Face ID.

Select Forgot username or password? to recover your credentials if necessary.
Note
If your device is offline or in Airplane Mode, you can still sign in to Messenger iOS. While offline, you are able to draft messages to send later, and can view previously received messages (including unread messages received while online).
Note
If you've never used this username for Diligent Messenger or Boardsbefore, you may be asked to add an email address, answer security questions and update your password.
