Messenger Web settings

Use Messenger Web to define certain settings that determine how your messenger service behaves.

  • To access your settings, select the setting icon on your navigation bar or select your profile icon and select Settings from the menu.

  • The Settings section opens on App settings by default.

Settings tabs

There are four tabs for managing and viewing your service.

Tab name Description Additional information
App settings Manage the behavior of the Enter / Return key on your keyboard when messaging and view the settings for your service.

  • Enter key settings – Set how Messenger Web responds when you use the Enter / Return key on your keyboard while typing a message. You can choose to Send a message or Create a new line when the Enter / Return key is selected.

  • Admin-controlled settings – Settings applied to your service by your site Administrator. To request any changes to these settings, contact your site Administrator. To learn more about modifying these settings, go to Admin management of Messenger settings.

  • Diligent-controlled settings Settings managed by the Diligent Customer Success team.

Manage your Diligent account

Determine how your email is used and what boards you are part of.

Update your password, however, you must have your current password to make the change.

Note

This is not the same as the "Forgot password" request.

  • Your new password must meet requirements that are set by your company’s security policy.

  • You may also see options to change your email address and security questions. If you do not see these options, you will need to complete these tasks using Diligent Boards.
