Sharing files to Secure File Sharing
The integrated experience of Diligent Secure File Sharing (SFS) and Diligent Boards features greater control and security when managing sensitive files. This article explains how to share content from a book to a data room in SFS and notify directors via email with a link to the shared files.
Note
Diligent Secure File Sharing must be configured for your Boards site in order to access to the features described in this article. For more information, contact your Customer Success Manager.

From the Current Books hub, select the menu icon
on the far right of a book's row. A dropdown menu appears.

Alternatively, from the Book Editor, select the menu icon
on the top right of the page. A dropdown menu appears.

Select Share to Secure File Sharing. You'll be taken to the Content Selection page.
Note
If this option does not appear in the dropdown menu, you do not have access to Diligent Secure File Sharing. Contact your Customer Success Manager for assistance.

Specify the book content you want to share by selecting the radio button next to one of the following options:

Entire Book: all sections in the book that contain files will be shared. The shared book contains a table of contents that corresponds to the book tabs.

Page Range: shares a set of book pages within a specific range. You'll enter the beginning and ending page numbers of the range in the "From" and "to" fields that appear.

Tabs and Files: all content in a book tab and/or subtab will be shared

Select Continue.

View the Destination in Secure File Sharing where the book content will be shared. By default, files will be shared to a new Boards Exports folder in your personal data room. To choose a custom destination, select "Change location".

Select Confirm and continue.

You have the option to generate a link to the shared files in SFS and send the link via email to any recipients. Select Send Link to proceed with this option.

Select the security level and recipients of the file link. You can move down the page to add additional options, such as a message for recipients or a watermark to protect documents.

Select Confirm and send. The book content is available in SFS and the file link is sent to recipients via email. For more information, see Accessing Diligent Secure File Sharing.
