Copying an existing book

Learn how to use the "Copy Book" function to quickly create a new book based on the properties, structure, and content of an existing book.

  1. Open the book menu for the book you want to copy, either from the Current Books hub or the Book Editor.

  2. Select Copy Book.

  3. The Copy Book window appears. Most options here are identical to those in the Creating a new book window, and all can be edited as needed.

  4. To copy the book in its entirety, including all documents, select the Include Contents option. If you do not enable "Include Contents", only the book's tab structure and any EasyEdit documents will be copied.

  5. Select Continue.

  6. The Book Permissions screen appears, with meeting group and user view permissions copied from the previous book. You can update these permissions for the new book as necessary.

  7. Select Finish to complete the copying process and proceed to the Book Editor.
