Updating username to an email address
After you sign in to Boards with your current username and password, you will be redirected to the Sign in with your email address screen.
As a director, you can temporarily skip the email promotion screens to access your boards materials. If you need to sign in multiple times, you can skip the email username update step as many times as you want within a 24-hour period. After the first 24-hour time period, you have two more similar opportunities to skip the email promotion screens before it becomes mandatory.

In the Sign in with your email address screen, select which email address you want to use as the sign-in email. You can either select a current email address already registered in Boards or enter a new one. For more information about email types, go to The different email types.
Note
If the selected email conflicts with a setting in your Diligent account, or if it already exists in the Boards system, an error message is displayed.

(Optional) If you get an error message, you can select or enter a new email address or contact Diligent to proceed with the selected email address.

Select Confirm my email address. If you don't have a validated email address on file, or if you entered a new email address, Diligent sends an email containing a security code.

(Optional) In the Security code field, enter the security code and select Continue to complete validation.
Note
If email verification isn't required for your site, you can skip this step unlimited times.

After the sign-in email is confirmed, select Continue to go to your Boards site.
