Assigning user privileges in projects and frameworks

By default, new users are not assigned access to any projects or frameworks. Project Admins must assign users the specific privileges they require before they can work with projects and frameworks.

Before you start

Before you can grant user privileges to projects and frameworks, you must:

  1. Add users to Launchpad.
  2. Assign each user the appropriate subscription.

Note

You cannot assign privileges to user groups.

Steps

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

    The Projects home page opens.

  2. From the Projects home page, under System administration, click Manage users.

    The OrganizationName Users page opens.

  3. Optional. In the Search list... field, enter the first name, last name, or email address of the user you want to assign privileges to.
  4. In the Name column, click the name of the appropriate user.

    The User Details & Access Rights page opens.

  5. Optional. Assign the user any of the following privileges:

    Project Admin

    Next to Project Admins?, click Make a Project Admin.

    • System Admins with a Professional subscription are automatically assigned the Project Admin privilege.
    • If the user is a Project Admin, and should not be, click Remove Project Admin privileges.
    Project Type AdminNext to Project Type Admin?, click Make aProject Type Admin. Then, click Manage project types and select the project types to which the user should have read and write access.
    • System Admins with a Professional subscription are automatically assigned the Project Type Admin privilege.
    • If the user is a Project Type Admin, and should not be, click Remove Project Type Admin privileges.
    Project Creator Next to Project Creator?, click Add Project Creator privileges.
    • System Admins with a Professional subscription and Project Admins are automatically assigned the Project Creator privilege.
    • If the user is a Project Creator, and should not be, click Remove Project Creator privileges.
    View Archived Projects Next to View Archived Projects?, click Grant read access to archived Projects.

    If the user has access to archived projects, and should not, click Remove read access to archived Projects.

    Timesheets AdminNext to Timesheets Admin?, click Add Timesheets Admin privileges.
    • System Admins with a Professional subscription and Project Admins are automatically assigned the Timesheets Admin privilege.
    • If the user is a Timesheets Admin, and should not be, click Remove Timesheets Admin privileges.
    Assurance Plans Next to Assurance Plans Admin?, click Add Assurance Plans Admin privileges.
    • Project Admins are automatically assigned the Assurance Plans Admin privilege.
    • If the user has access to assurance plans, and should not, click Remove Assurance Plans Admin privileges.
    Compliance Maps Privileges

    Next to Compliance Maps Privileges, select the appropriate access level:

    • Read/Write
    • Read
    • No Access

    System Admins with a Professional subscription and Project Admins are automatically assigned Compliance Maps Privileges with Read/Write access.

    Newly created users are given No Access to Compliance Maps by default.
