Creating workflows in the Results app

Create a workflow by specifying status groups that define which workflow groups can access which statuses when processing records. Each workflow defines a how records transition through a specific remediation process.

Note

Only Results Admins can create workflows. Both Results Admins and Professional Managers can apply the workflow to a collection.

Create a workflow

  1. Open the Results app.
  2. From the navigation side panel on the Results homepage, click Settings.
  3. Click Workflows and do one of the following:
    • To create a new workflow, click New.
    • To edit an existing workflow, click Edit next to the appropriate workflow.
  4. In the Name field, enter a descriptive name for the workflow.
  5. Select the workflow groups that are part of the status group.

You can add multiple workflow groups to a status group.

  6. Drag and drop statuses into the status group to define the stage of the remediation workflow.

Each status can only be used once per status group. Statuses categorized as Active display under Open, and statuses categorized as Inactive display under Closed.

  7. To add a status group for the next part of the remediation sequence, click + Add status group and repeat steps 4 and 5.
  8. Click Save.

What happens if I edit or delete a workflow?

If you remove a status from a workflow, users will not be able to select the status when processing records or configuring triggers. Deleting a workflow removes the workflow from all associated collections and allows users to assign records to any status.
