Tenable VM integration with Asset Manager
Asset Manager has integrated with Tenable VM to import vulnerability data and display it on a comprehensive dashboard. This integration provides you real-time insights into your security posture, so you can prioritize vulnerabilities based on their risk levels.
Important
Tenable VM integration with Asset Manager is available through the Early Adopter Program. If you want to opt in, contact your Diligent representative.
What is Tenable VM?
Tenable Vulnerability Management (VM) is a cloud-based platform designed for comprehensive vulnerability management. Developed by Tenable, Inc., it provides advanced capabilities to help organizations identify, assess, and prioritize the highest cyber risks across their IT assets. Activating your Tenable VM account
Before you can connect to Tenable VM, you must activate your Tenable account in Asset Manager.
Prerequisites
- You must already have a Tenable account. We will not create a Tenable account for you.
- Only System Admins with Professional subscription can activate the Tenable account.
- Open the Asset Manager app.
- On the left hand side, select the expand button to open the side panel.
- Select Vulnerabilities > Settings.
- In the Activation tab, enter the access and secret keys, and select Activate.
Result Upon activation, the remaining tabs on the Settings page—Permissions, Import, and General—as well as the Vulnerability details become available.
Changing the keys
After activating and connecting to Tenable VM, you can change the keys. Note that you must generate the new keys in Tenable.
- Open the Asset Manager app.
- On the left hand side, select the expand button to open the side panel.
- Select Vulnerabilities > Settings.
- In the Activation tab, enter the new access and secret keys, and select Change Key.
Result The Tenable keys are updated.
