Add security to a BoardEffect library file
You can restrict whether users can view, download, or print a file. To secure every file in a folder, you can set the folder to view only. For more information, go to Set a BoardEffect library folder to view only. You can add security to a single file in a workroom library or the Resource Library.

To access the Resource Library, select Library from the navigation menu.

To go to a workroom library, select a workroom from the Libraries menu.

Select a folder name to view files.

To add security to a file, select the More options icon
and select Security from the menu.

In the Security dialog box, select the Add icon next to their name to decide which users have access to the file.
The user can now view, download, and print the file.

To search for a user, enter their first and/or last name in the Search field.

To save your changes, select Close on the top right.
A lock icon is visible next to secured files.
Manage editors of a library file
You can manage which users have permission to edit a file directly from the Resource Library.

To access the Resource Library, select Library from the navigation menu.

To go to a workroom library, select a workroom from the Libraries menu.

To select the editors for a file, select the More options icon
and select Manage editors from the menu.
The Manage editors dialog box opens.

From the Select users dropdown, select the names of the users that you want to give editing permissions to.
Note
You can also select users who currently have editing permissions, as indicated by a check mark, to remove their editing permissions.

Optional: Select Select All to give editing permissions to all users in the list.

In the Search field in the dropdown, enter the name of the user to filter the user list.

Select Save.
An email is sent to the users with the new editing permissions.
