Voting

Customize the voting language to reflect the state stature or board policy you follow.

  1. From the left navigation, select Settings and then select Voting.

  2. On the Voting page, in the Voting customization section, do the following:

    1. Set the voting verbiage for the following actions:
      • Aye/For Enter the verbiage to be used when the user supports a motion.
      • Noes/Against Enter the verbiage to be used when the user is against a motion.
      • Disposition Enter the custom text that appears in the Disposition field of minutes based on the majority of votes in favor of (Disposition Carries) or against (Disposition Failed) a motion. For more information about voting, see Initiate a vote.
      • Abstentions Enter the verbiage to be used when the user abstains from voting. You can also define whether the abstentions can be counted as for or against the motion.
      • Absence during voting Enter the verbiage to be used if the user is absent during voting.
  3. In the Enable Member Digital Voting section, select the checkbox next to the relevant meeting template.

Digital voting is enabled for the selected template. Digital voting allows voting board members to vote on their devices from the Agenda viewer. When digital voting is enabled no votes on the minutes are set automatically; if the option is disabled, the votes are counted as for the motion. In such cases, as a minutes taker, you must set the Against Absent or Conflict of interest option.

  4. Select Save.
