Ownership
In the Ownership section of a company you can add share classes, shareholders and more.
You can view ownership information in both the classic and modernized versions of Entities. In classic Entities, you can create an manage share classes, allot, transfer, and dispose of shares, and create relationships to represent ownership through other means than shares. In modernized Entities, you can view ownership information in a streamlined table.
Ownership in classic Entities
There are two ways to enter ownership information in the Ownership section:
- using the Share Class and Shareholders tabs
- using the Relationships tab
In the Ownership section of a company, user can do the following:
- Create share classes
- Adjust issued shares
- View share class history
- Allot and transfer shares
- View share history for shareholders
- Add beneficial owners
- View and make changes to share certificates
- Record individuals with significant control
- Set up corporate relationships

Ownership in modernized Entities
The modernized Entities experience provides you with a streamlined table inside the company record, from which you can view and analyze ownership information.
Note
You can view this information in modernized Entities and in classic Entities. To make changes to the data, use classic Entities. For more information about the two Entities experiences, see Modernized Entities.
