Cancel Share Certificates
Use the Consolidate Certificates option to cancel multiple certificates of the same shareholder under the same share class.
By following the steps below, you can cancel certificates that you did not cancel during the share event by mistake, but do not need any more.
Note
The steps below result in a cancelation of the original certificates without a new one being created. If you want to consolidate multiple certificates of the same shareholder into a new one, refer to Share Certificates.

Open the relevant company record and go to the Company Details page.

Select Wizards > Administration > Company Options Wizard to open the Company Options wizard.

Go to the Numbering tab in the wizard and make a note of the number in the Next Certificate No field.

Change the number in the Next Certificate No field to zero, then select Finish to close the wizard.

Go to Ownership > Certificates and select the Options
against one of the certificates you want to cancel and select Consolidate Certificates to open the Consolidate Share Certificates wizard. -
Complete the wizard.
Confirm that the share class and the shareholder are listed correctly, enter a date for the consolidation and enter any notes as needed.

Go back to the Company Details page.

Select Wizards > Administration > Company Options Wizard to open the Company Options wizard.

Go to the Numbering tab in the wizard and in the Next Certificate No field, enter the number you took note of earlier to get the certificate numbering back into sequence.
- Select Finish to close the wizard.
