Configuring your general settings

In the Manage Settings screen, you can configure many general settings for your company including its logo, financial year, and geographic settings.

You can also configure and manage VOCs, waste fractions, GHG, integration, API, and supplier settings but for more detailed instructions for those sections, go to Managing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Managing waste fractions and emission factors, Managing greenhouse gas settings, Managing integrations and API, and Managing suppliers.

Configuring your organisations financial year

If you are an administrator, you can configure the dates for the start year, base year, and financial period. These determine how reports, charts, and data management information are presented to you in the application.

• Start Year determines the start point of the dashboard charts and reports.

• Base Year is used by reports to measure change and performance of GHG, energy and other data relative to data in this baseline year.

• From and To determines the period for the financial year of your organisation.

1. Select the Settings icon and select Manage Settings.

2. Select the Application Settings tab.

3. In the Financial Year section, select Edit.

4. In the From and To dropdowns, select the date and month to determine the start and end of your financial year.

5. In the Start Year dropdown, select the year that acts as the start point for your dashboard charts and reports.

6. In the Base Year dropdown, select the baseline year that is used by reports to measure change and performance of GHG, energy and other data.

7. Select Save.

Configuring your geographic region settings

You must assign all countries to a geographic region to use the settings within the system. You can save the changes as temporary until your are complete. The list is usually populated with system default countries and regions unless a custom setting has been saved.

1. Select the Settings icon and select Manage Settings.

2. Select the Geographic Regions tab.

3. In the Add Geographic Region field, enter a region's name and select Add Geographic Region.

4. In the Rename Geographic Region field, enter a region's updated name.

5. To add a country, select the region that you want to add a country to.

6. In the Add Country field, enter a country's name and select Add Country.

7. Select Save Temporary Geographic Regions Settings to temporarily save your changes or Save Geographic Region Settings to permanently save them.
