Downloading pre-built and custom reports

Download reports to easily extract information from the Projects app, review project progress and sign-offs, and send information to external stakeholders.

Types of reports

There are different types of reports you can download:

  • Pre-built reports Default one-click reports that evolve automatically as the project progresses.
  • Custom issues reports Customizable reports that allow you to report on issues across all projects in the Diligent One instance.
  • Impact reports A subscription-based service that allows you to define a one-click report template, tailored to your needs.

Note

Reports display all entered data, regardless of whether a field or tab is enabled or disabled in the user interface.

Pre-built reports

Download pre-built reports from any of the fieldwork pages or quickly download all project-specific reports by selecting the Results tab, and then selecting Fieldwork Reports.

Permissions

Pre-built reports are only accessible to users assigned the Professional Manager, Professional User, Oversight Executive, or Oversight Reviewer role.

Available reports

To quickly generate reports and provide optimal performance, some reports open immediately in a new tab, while others are offered first as a download.

Note

  • Interface terms are customizable, and fields and tabs are configurable. In your instance of Diligent One, some terms, fields, and tabs may be different.
  • If a required field is left blank, you will see a warning message: This field is required. Some custom fields may have default values.

Note

The following limitations apply:

  • If a project contains more than 100 issues, the report includes a summary of issues instead of a detailed account of each issue.
  • The PowerPoint does not contain summary information for issues or results, while the Word report does contain this information.

Narratives (project)

provides all narratives associated with a specified objective in the project, and sign-off information and related controls for each narrative

Narratives (framework) provides all narratives associated with a specified objective in the framework, and sign-off information and related controls for each narrative

Risk Control Matrix (project or framework)

provides risk and control information associated with a specified objective in the project or framework

To generate a Risk Control Matrix report that displays a single objective:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To generate a report in a project:
      1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

        If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

      2. Open a project, and click the Fieldwork tab.
    • To generate a report in a framework:
      1. Open the Frameworks app.
      2. Open a framework, and click the Sections tab.
  2. Click Go To next to the appropriate objective.
  3. Select Risk Control Matrix.
  4. In the Risk Control Matrix side panel, click Risk Control Matrix.

To generate a Risk Control Matrix report that displays all objectives:

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Results tab.
  4. Click the Fieldwork Reports subtab.
  5. In the Risk Control Matrix side panel, click Risk Control Matrix.

Walkthroughs

provides walkthrough information associated with a specified objective in the project and sign-off information for each walkthrough

To generate a report that displays walkthroughs within a single objective:

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Fieldwork tab.
  4. Click Go To next to the appropriate objective.
  5. Select Walkthroughs.
  6. In the Walkthroughs side panel, click Walkthroughs.

To generate a report that displays walkthroughs within all objectives:

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Results tab.
  4. Click the Fieldwork Reports subtab.
  5. In the Walkthroughs side panel, click Walkthroughs.

Test Plan (project)

provides test plan information associated with a specified objective in the project and sign-off information for each test plan

Test Plan (framework) provides test plan information associated with a specific objective in a framework and sign-off information for each test plan

provides test information associated with a specified objective in the project and sign-off information for each test

To generate a TestingRound Project Testing Results report that displays a single objective:

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Fieldwork tab.
  4. Click Go To next to the appropriate objective.
  5. SelectTestingRound Testing.
  6. In the TestingRound Testing side panel, click TestingRound Project Testing Results.

To generate a TestingRound Project Testing Results report that displays all objectives:

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Results tab.
  4. Click the Fieldwork Reports subtab.
  5. In the [Testing Round] Testing side panel, click [Testing Round] Project Testing Results.

Complete Issue Report

provides a full issue report from a single project

Microsoft Excel (.xls)

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Issues tab.
  4. In the Reports side panel, click Complete Issue Report.

Issue Summary

summarizes information for all issues from a single project

Issue Details

provides information about all issues in detail from a single project

Consolidated Issues Spreadsheet

lists the details of each issue across multiple projects on a separate row

provides progress summary information in four different charts:

  • Project Procedures Completed
  • Time to Deadline
  • By Issue Type
  • By Severity

  3. Click the Progress project management tab.
  4. In the Export Progress  side panel, click Export Progress.
Project Planning

provides all project dates associated with a specific project, including:

  • planned start and end dates
  • actual start and end dates
  • milestone dates
  • budgeted hours

Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Results tab.
  4. Click the Fieldwork Reports subtab.
  5. Click Project Planning.

Request list open items

provides information about all open request items in a project

Time Entries provides the ability to report on time usage in a single project

  2. Open a project.
  3. Click the Timesheets project management tab.
  4. In the Time Entries side panel, click Time Entries.
Time Reporting provides the ability to report on time usage across all projects in the Diligent One instance

  1. Open the Timesheets app.
  2. Click the Time Report tab.
  3. Define a time reporting period.
  4. Optional. Filter time usage by employee.
  5. Complete any of the following actions:
    • To generate a PDF report, click Time Reporting (PDF Format).
    • To generate an Excel report, click Time Reporting (Excel Format).

My to-do Log

provides a to-do item tracking log that shows to-dos assigned to you and those assigned by you in the project or framework

  3. In the My to-do Log side panel, click My to-do Log.

Activity Log

provides a detailed listing of all logged items and the field-level changes associated with each item

Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To generate a report in a project:
      1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Projects app to open it.

        If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Projects app.

      2. Open a project.
    • To generate a report in a framework:
      1. Open the Frameworks app.
      2. Open a framework.
  2. Click Download activity log next to Recent Activity.
Compliance Summary Report provides summary information about requirements, including mapped controls and open issues Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)
  1. Open the Compliance Maps app.
  2. Click Compliance Summary Report.
  3. Download the Excel report (.xlsx) to your computer.

    Any applied filters that you apply on the Compliance Maps page are reflected in the report.

Assurance Plan Report

provides summary information about the scope of assurance activities, the areas of coverage, and the availability of resources

 
  1. Open the Assurance Plans app.
  2. Navigate to the assurance plan you want to export.
  3. Click the overflow icon beside the plan, and select either Export as Word or Export as PowerPoint.

Custom issues reports

Create a custom issues report to report on issues across all projects in the Diligent One instance.

Permissions

Only Professional Managers and Professional Users can create custom reports.

Create a custom issues report

  1. Open the Issue Tracker app.
  2. Use the Issue Report Builder to search or filter issues.

    Only Professional Managers or Professional Users can filter by issue state. Published issues are displayed by default. Users assigned the Oversight Executive, Oversight Reviewer, Contributor Tester, or Contributor User role can only view published issues.

    Note

    Filters are based on AND (not OR) operators. For example, if you add two conditions (Status = Open AND Severity = High), the issues displayed include those that have a status of "Open" and a severity rating of "High."

  3. Optional. To remove an applied filter, click the "x" next to the appropriate filter.
  4. Optional. Sort issues using the options next to Sort by.
  5. Enter a name for the report.
  6. Click Save this report.

    Result The report displays under All Issues in the Saved Reports panel.
