Relating reports or data
Related reports are two or more reports that have been associated with one another based on common fields or filters. You can create related reports to provide different layers of interaction and analysis for your Report Readers.
How it works
Related reports are useful for showing a variety of data relationships, typically organized from general to more specific details.
Co-Display reports allow you to display multiple tables and charts on a single page, or on different tabs, in a report.
Drill Anywhere and Drill Through reports allow Report Readers to view a master report and drill into more detailed reports. Depending on your audience and report requirements, you can either allow Report Readers to define their own drill path and freely move from one report to another (Drill Anywhere), or you can define a specific drill path for your Report Readers to follow (Drill Through).
Defining relationships between tables and charts
A single report can contain a table and multiple charts. To provide different layers of interaction and analysis, you can define relationships between both tables and charts in multiple reports, based on common fields or filters.
The ability for Report Readers to navigate from general to more detailed information in charts depends on the chart type. For a list of chart types that support Drill Anywhere and Drill Through capabilities, see Enabling drill capabilities on charts.
Types of relationships
You can define different types of relationships between reports, or define no relationship to other reports:
Type of relationship | Description | Detailed information |
---|---|---|
Co-Display |

You can combine the Co-Display option with No Drill, Drill Anywhere, or Drill Through to display multiple reports within a single report. |
