Boost performance of charts
You can improve the performance of charts by turning on the Boost performance option in the chart display settings. When Boost performance is turned on, Diligent One focuses on handling and rendering as many data points as possible, as quickly as possible. This results in loading charts much faster, and it is especially useful when a storyboard contains multiple charts with a high volume of data.
Note
Boost performance activates only when data points on the chart go beyond 150.
The performance improvement does have a few trade-offs. It bypasses some of the standard features and applies some caveats as follows:
- One pixel line width limit for:
- rectangles in column and bar charts
- areas in area series
- lines in line charts
- Animation is not supported.
- Circles are the only marker shapes that are supported.
- Dash style for lines is not supported.
- Zones, stacking, and negative colors are not supported.
- Point click handlers are not supported.
