Compare Data for Multiple Companies

You can download company details stored with Companies House into a comparison report for multiple companies at the once.

You also have the option to compare data for a single company. Refer to Compare Data for a Company to learn more.

Before you start

Make sure the application is set up for electronic filing and data download from Companies House. Refer to Set up Electronic Filing for the United Kingdom and Enable Data Download from Companies House to learn more.

Go to All Searches > Companies.
Use the search and the filter options to find the companies you want to compare data for and select them from the list.
Select Wizards > Electronic Filing > United Kingdom > Data Download Wizard.
On the Data Download Type page, select Companies House XMP Gateway, then select Next.

The Company Data Request option enables presenters to download data for managed companies free of charge, provided that they are already the presenters for these companies and the application is licenced for electronic filing and data download.
On the Select Companies page, review the list of companies and add or remove any as required, then select Next.
On the Company Details page, choose the details to download and select the Compare after Download option to generate a comparison report, then select Next.

Note

Options marked with (£) incur charges. Refer to Companies House's website for more details on costs.
Select Finish to complete the wizard.

The wizard closes and multiple documents are listed in Verified and Queued status in Working Documents > Electronic Filing with Electronic Filing Data Download for [Company Number] as their description.
Go to Working Documents > Electronic Filing, select Send and Receive and complete the wizard to download the comparison report.

When the status of the documents changes to Message Received, the comparison reports are available.

Review the comparison reports and take action as required.
