Managing user permissions

Administrators can grant, change, or revoke permissions to multiple collections and folders for a single user. Permissions changes are applied as soon as they are saved.

Grant collection and folder permissions for a single user

  1. From the menu, select Admin > Users.
  2. Select the user and click Edit.

    Administrative users have Full permissions to all collections and folders. You cannot select administrative users.

  3. To add permissions for one or more collections, on the left-hand side of the Manage User Permissions dialog box, select one or more collections and then click the right arrow.

    Use Ctrl+click to select multiple collections. The collections are moved to the Collections/Folders column on the right side of the dialog box which lists collections and folders for which you can now configure permissions.

  4. To grant permissions to the user, for each collection, select either Read Only or Full.
  5. Optional. To grant folder permissions, expand each collection and select the appropriate permissions.

    Note

    Disabled folder checkboxes indicate folders that inherit permissions from the parent collection. For more information, see Inherited permissions.

  6. Click OK and then click Save.

Edit collection and folder permissions for a single user

  1. From the menu, select Admin > Users.
  2. Select the user and click Edit.

    Administrative users have Full permissions to all collections and folders. You cannot select administrative users.

  4. To change the permissions of the user, for each collection, select either Read Only or Full.
  5. Optional. To change folder permissions, expand each collection and select the appropriate permissions.

  6. Click OK and then click Save.

Remove collection and folder permissions for a single user

  1. From the menu, select Admin > Users.
  2. Select the user and click Edit.

    Administrative users have Full permissions to all collections and folders. You cannot select administrative users.

    The collections the user has permissions for appear in the Collections/Folders column on the right side of the dialog box.
