Archiving books
This topic describes how to archive a book so that it no longer appears in the Current Books hub. Directors can view Archived Books, but can no longer add new notes and annotations.

Select the book menu button (three vertical dots) on the Current Books hub or the Book Editor screen.

Select Archive.
Note
If "Archive with Annotations" is enabled for your site, a dialog appears after this step. If you enable the "Keep Notes and Annotations" checkbox in this dialog, directors will still be able to view their notes and annotations in the book once it has been archived.

The book will be changed to Archived status, and will no longer appear on the Current Books hub for directors or admins. Directors are not able to add new notes or annotations to Archived Books.

To restore an Archived Book to Current status, select Archived Books in the left-hand navigation panel.

Select the book menu button for the book you want to restore.

Select Restore to Hidden. The book will be restored to Current Books status as a hidden (unpublished) book.
Note
Restored Archived Books are always set to "Hidden" status, regardless of whether or not they were published when archived. If a restored book needs to be visible to directors, it must be published again after restoration.
