Publishing and hiding books
This topic describes how to publish a book to make it visible to directors, and how to unpublish a book to hide it. Once a book is published, any directors who have been given access will be able to view and interact with it. If notifications are selected during the publish workflow, they will also receive a notification by their chosen method, such as email, Diligent Messenger, or push.
-
To make a book visible to all directors who have been given access to it, select Publish book while editing or viewing the book.
Note
Documents that have not been approved will not appear in the book, even when it is published.
-
In the Publish book and notify users window, define the notification settings (if changing from the default), the recipients for the notification, the subject, and the notification message (if changing from the default).
-
To publish the book with notifications, select Publish and notify. You can also send notifications separately from this publish workflow. See Sending notifications for more information.
-
To publish the book without any notifications, clear all notification types and then select Publish.
-
AI content will be automatically generated in the GovernAI tab of the Book editor after book publication if not already created. For confidentiality and security, the AI content will only contain information related to the sections of the book that a user has access to. You can hide the AI content from users until you have reviewed it. For more information, refer to Managing AI content for a book.
-
To publish or hide a book while viewing the Current Books hub, first, select the More options icon
at the end of a book's row. -
Select Publish or Unpublish.
