ACL AI Studio app permissions

Access to the ACL AI Studio app, as well as permissions to perform various tasks, is managed through a combination of the following elements:

  • Diligent One system-wide user type (Launchpad user type)

  • Subscription

  • ACL AI Studio app role

  • ACL AI Studio Collaborator role

In addition, certain permissions are controlled globally, affecting all users.

Dataset access

Permissions from a user perspective

A user's Launchpad user type and subscription broadly define what they can do in Diligent One, and which apps they can access.

ACL AI Studio app-level access

ACL AI Studio app-level access dictates the high-level activities that a user can perform in datasets. App-level access is controlled by the combination of:

  • Launchpad user type

  • Subscription

  • ACL AI Studio app role

Note

For organizations that use ACL AI Studio, all users with Professional or Oversight subscriptions automatically have basic app-level access. Users with Contributor subscriptions cannot access ACL AI Studio.

A Launchpad System Admin with a Professional subscription is automatically an ACL AI Studio Admin and can access the Settings page. This automatic assignment cannot be changed.

ACL AI Studio Admins have the highest privilege; they can access all datasets, manage sessions or storage, and configure users.

Licensing restricts the total number of concurrent dataset sessions and total GB of storage. The default is one session and 1GB per organization; you can purchase add-ons to increase these limits.

Dataset-level collaboration roles

Collaboration happens per dataset through assigned collaborator roles as described in the following table:

Role Permissions overview
Owner

Has full control. Can create, edit, or delete datasets, manage collaborators and roles, and perform all data management and analysis

Editor Can work with datasets (editing, uploading tables), run analyses, save outputs, but cannot manage collaborators or roles.
Reviewer Can view results, export data, and publish to Activity Center.

ACL AI Studio Admins automatically assigned the Owner role for all datasets. A dataset is only visible to users who have been explicitly granted Collaborator access.
