Managing user permissions in Diligent One apps
Apps are components in Diligent One that provide specific functionality. Once you invite a user to Launchpad, you can grant them access to one or more Diligent One apps, depending on their subscription.
You can use Launchpad to either manage Reports app permissions directly, or to find links to other apps' settings to manage permissions for those apps.
Note
The apps available to you depend on the edition of Diligent One (standard or premium) in use, and whether or not your organization has purchased any add-on apps. For more information, see Subscriptions, editions, and capabilities.
How permissions work
Privileges and roles define the types of permissions a user has in accessing apps. Permissions can include tasks such as managing settings, and adding, viewing, editing, or deleting data. A user can have varying privileges and roles in different apps.
Note
Privileges and roles are specific to each app. For example, a Professional Manager in the Projects app does not have the same access as a Professional Manager in the Results app. A user can have varying permissions in different apps.
App | Detailed information |
---|---|
Strategy | Strategy app permissions |
Projects | Projects app permissions |
Results | Results app permissions |
Reports | Reports app permissions |
Robots | Robots app permissions |
Asset Inventory | Managing Asset Inventory roles |
Asset Manager | Managing Asset Manager roles |
Permissions in other apps
The Projects app relates to a variety of other Diligent One apps. Once you provision user access in the Projects app, users will be granted the same privileges and roles in the following apps:
- Frameworks
- Compliance Maps
- Assurance Plans
- Scheduler
- Offline Projects
- Diligent HighBond for iOS or Android
- Mission Control
- Issue Tracker
- Task Tracker
- Timesheets
