Electronic Filing Statuses for UK Forms
Learn more about the different e-filing statuses that you may come across when e-filing forms to Companies House in the United Kingdom.
To view the status of an e-filed document, you have the following options:

Open the company record and select Documents > Working Documents. Find the form and select Open
. You can find the status in the Electronic Filing Details section. - Go to Working Documents > Electronic Filing and choose either Efiled By Me, Efiled Today, or Efiled This Week depending on your needs. This will bring up a list of all the documents that are being e-filed or that have been e-filed and displays their status.
The table below describes the most common statuses of forms e-filed to Companies House.

| Accepted with Amendments |
On occasion, Companies House may accept the form, but advises you that what you have sent them does not match what they have on record. To view the amendments that Companies House have sent back, go to the Document Details. The amendments are listed in the Message field in the Electronic Filing Details section. You can generate a report that provides details on each document with Accepted with Amendments status. For more information refer to Create E-Filing Reports. |
| Message Failed | The document has failed submission. Open the document and find the Message field to learn what error occurred and decide what action to take. Recreate the document from the pending event and try to e-file it again. Refer to Recreate a Document from a Pending Event to learn more. |
| Received & Accepted | When the status updates to Received & Accepted, Companies House have accepted the form. This means that you can now action the related pending event. For more information refer to Pending events. |
| Received & Pending | The form has been received by Companies House but neither accepted nor rejected, that is, the form awaits review by Companies House. |
| Received but Rejected | You can find out why the form was rejected by opening the Document Details. The reason is listed in the Message field in the Electronic Filing Details section. Once you correct the listed errors, you must be create a new form, sign it, and e-file it to Companies House. Refer to Recreate a Document from a Pending Event.
Note You cannot e-file the same document twice. If it is rejected by Companies House, you must recreate it from the pending event. |
| Verification Errors | The document has failed verification. Open the document and find the Message field to learn more. Make the required changes, recreate the document from the pending event and e-file it again. Refer to Recreate a Document from a Pending Event to learn more. |
